Welcome to Steve Scafa Baseball Camps
Is your child ready for summer baseball? No? Well, help him get ready! Let a former Yankees minor leaguer teach him or her the fundamentals which will enable your child to excel at the game making it more enjoyable for them and you. Steve Scafa a.k.a. "Coach Steve" will help your child improve in every aspect of the game - fielding, hitting, baserunning - all the while making it fun as they take the next step. Coach Steve's motto is simple: "DRILLS EQUALS SKILLS. What you learn in practice is what you will do in the game."
Steve...
...... was drafted by the Yankees in 1981
...... played an integral role in "The Greatest College Baseball Game Ever Played" when St. John's defeated Yale 1-0 in 1981
...... started one of the few triple plays in College World Series history
Steve has coached on every level from t-ball to high school summer league. One parent recently called Steve, "One of the most intuitive coaches I have ever been around." After last season ended, another parent stated that, "My son will accept nothing other than playing for you next year." Well, that time has come!
Steve will hold mini-camps throughout the summer to help your son or daughter learn the game the right way. Emphasis will be put on drills which will help your child accelerate his or her learning of the true fundamentals of the game.
